This forum are dedicated to students of course E5163 - IC Design. Students can ask any questions and will be answered by lecturers or any individual that experts in it. Besides that, students are encouraged to give opinions related to IC Design. This forum is conducted not only in English language but also in Bahasa Malaysia.

kun21  | | | | Most of the students hates to memorized the single crystal process, Czochralski even to pronounce the process itself. :) You don't have to memorized the process but the keyword is you must UNDERSTAND the process. More information you can find amazing clips about Czochralski process (cz) from youtube web done by students from various universities. Happy searching!!

L-Edit/DRC (only two keys) is L-Edit with a built in Design Rule Checker. DRC is to layout what a spelling checker is to a word processor--it indicates where your design may be faulty. It allows user programmable rules for automatic checking of widths, spacing, and overlaps.
L-Edit/Extract(only one key) is L-Edit with built in Device Extraction for VLSI design. It generates a circuit "netlist" from your layout. This allows you to simulate your circuit using SPICE.
